The Soul Care Home is an independently run home located in Chami Village, Mokokchung. The home currently houses 18 children and is a self-supported venture operating under the wings of Mr. & Mrs. Alem Aier of Mopungchuket village. Inspired by the sacrifice and selfless undertaking of the couple, the Crusader Club of A&B Youth Fellowship, MTBA Youth Department paid a one-day goodwill visit to the care home on April 9th under the theme “Contributing to the Needs of the Saints Practising Hospitality”. It was an eventful day of spreading the Word of God and outreach, packed with recreational activities with the children of the home.

Having had the opportunity to experience the genuine smiles on the children’s faces and gratitude from them, made the visitation all the more worthwhile. It was, for all of us, a time of realisation that there are selfless people out there bringing smiles and comfort to people around and truly making a difference in someone else’s life. The experience only goes to show that we need to reach out more to create more impact.
