The upcoming EP follows the success of the band’s widely acclaimed single “Walking Through the Fire,” which recently won Best Rock Song of the Year at the Music Awards of Nagaland 2025, marking a major milestone in the band’s journey.
THIS IS NOT POP! is a tribute to the music that shaped The Electric Cool Kid’s identity, drawing inspiration from loud rock bands, expressive guitar solos, and anthemic choruses. With this release, the band makes a deliberate return to its core influences, embracing raw energy, authenticity, and uncompromising songwriting.
As part of the EP rollout, The Electric Cool Kid will also premiere the official music video for “Mafia,” one of the standout tracks from the EP, on December 23.
