Thenyizumi Students’ Union observed 69th General Session under theme “Resilience and flexibility to achieve continuity” at Multi Purpose Hall, Thenyizu on Wednesday. Sanuzo Nienu, joint director, department of Agriculture graced the occasion as the guest speaker.
Speaking on the occasion, Nienu call upon the students to give their best effort putting their hardwork to excel in their career. “We are living in a competitive world with latest technology where only the best of the best are only selected in competitive exams” he said. While asked the students to focus on their respective area of interest adding that the government job in Nagaland is at a saturated point.

He said education is the process of learning, impartial knowledge to build up personal development and career to achieve their goals. While noting that the present scenario of education system is changing rapidly with the advancement of technology and the online mode of education with different type of scientifically innovated modes and methods systems. He viewed that the education policy at present is in need to be upgraded as the situation in the remote areas, villages are lacking behind many aspects.
He noted “when an individual improve, society improve and every student development in every nook and corner is important for economical marginalized areas for the overall development and improvement of the productivity of our economy”.
He also explore on the need for students to opt for technical degrees as it has a vast scope for self employment. Neinu said there are no big industries, factories or company to accommodate unemployed youths in the state. In this regard, he also asked the student union body to organize career guidance seminars and counselling for students to choose their respective area of interest.
With the advancement of the technolgy, joint director advised students to make the best use of phone and internet. He also cited biblical phrase Proverbs 3:6 “In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths”. And further asked the students to take God first in whatever they do so that they can achieve their goals in the future.
