The Yimkhiung Youth Organization (YYO) has issued a strongly-worded statement expressing what it described as its “deepest outrage and strict concern” over the “brutal murder of Mr Yanrukiu Yimkhiung from Longtsonger Village,” which occurred in Shamator Town on the evening of December 5, 2025.
Calling the incident “a heinous act,” the organization said it “condemns this unimaginable act of violence in the strongest terms” and warned that “decisive action will be taken against the perpetrators responsible.”
In its statement, the YYO “unequivocally demands capital punishment for the perpetrator(s)” and urged police and judicial authorities “to leave no stone unturned in their relentless pursuit of justice,” stressing that the accused must be “held accountable to the fullest extent of the law.”
YYO stated that it “stands firmly with the victim’s family,” pledging full support in seeking “swift justice through legal channels.” It urged law enforcement agencies “to launch an immediate investigation, apprehend the culprits, and bring justice to the victim’s family.”
Meanwhile, according to inputs, “the investigating team is in under process and we all hope that justice will be reveal soon.”
Reiterating its stand, the YYO said it “vows zero tolerance for such violence disrupting tribal peace and tranquility.”
