A meeting on the “100 Days Ayushman Student Coverage Mission: Registration & Card Generation Camp” was held on May 14, 2026, at the DC’s Conference Hall, Mokokchung, under the chairmanship of Ajit Kumar Verma, IAS, Deputy Commissioner and Chairman of the District Implementation Unit (DIU), PM-JAY/CMHIS Mokokchung.
The Deputy Commissioner emphasized the importance of coordination among departments and educational institutions for the successful implementation of the mission within the stipulated timeline. He also encouraged all concerned stakeholders to extend full cooperation to ensure maximum student coverage under PM-JAY/CMHIS in the district.
During the meeting, Tekamongla Walling, DPC NHPS, presented an overview and implementation plan of the mission. Discussions focused on the student strength in schools and colleges, identification of uncovered or left-out students, and preparation of schedules for school and college visits for Ayushman card generation.
The programme was conducted by Takotemjen Longkumer, LDA/CA-cum-BIS NHPS. It was attended by the Chief Medical Officer, Deputy Chief Medical Officer and Nodal Officer PM-JAY/CMHIS, District Education Officer (DEO), representatives from 31 schools and five colleges, representatives of ANPSA Mokokchung Unit, officials from the district administration, and other concerned officers and staff.
The meeting concluded with active participation and valuable suggestions from the attendees.
