The 11th Imsutemjen Memorial Table Tennis Tournament inaugural program was held on Monday at the Amphitheatre Ungma with Imlikokba Longkumer, District Planning Officer , Mokokchung, as the inaugural guest.
Imlikokba, while delivering his speech, acknowledged the family of Imsutemjen and reflected on how great a leader he was. He also expressed his appreciation to Late Imsutemjen’s family and the Longterok Senden Ungma for organizing such a tournament that nurtures sportspersons who can bring laurels to the district and provide a platform for skilled sports persons not just in the district but even beyond.
Ali Walling, president of Mokokchung District Table Tennis Association, also expressed gratitude to the Longterok Senden Ungma for organizing players to represent Mokokchung District in the Inter-District Table Tennis Tournament.
During the inaugural program, six players who participated in the Inter-District Table Tennis Tournament representing Mokokchung were felicitated.
61 players not only from Mokokchung district but also from Dimapur, Kohima and Wokha have registered for the 11th Imsutemjen Memorial Table Tennis Tournament.
The tournament will conclude on December 13 with R Nungshilepden Jamir, Tatar and Council Chairman of Ungma village as special guest.

Champion: Rs. 8000
Runner-up Rs. 6000
Men’s Doubles
Champions: Rs. 10,000
Runners-up: Rs. 7,000
Veterans ( 40+)
Champion: Rs. 4000
Runners-up: Rs. 3000
Under 19 Boys & Girls (Singles)
Champion: Rs. 4000
Runners-up: Rs. 3000
Under 19 Boys & Girls (Doubles)
Champions: Rs. 5000
Runners-up: 4000
