As a dedicated child activist, I have always been passionate about protecting the rights of children and ensuring their well-being. With an educational background in social work, I have committed myself to actively engaging in child advocacy, driven by the belief that every child deserves a safe and nurturing environment.
Recently, I have observed a disturbing rise in cases of child abuse and violations of children’s rights, even within our state. These past incidents have been a stark eye-opener, highlighting the urgent need for increased AWARENESS AND PROACTIVE MEASURES to safeguard our children. Recognizing this critical need, I launched an Instagram awareness page under the handle @TheChildProjectNagaland. This platform aims to educate and inform the public about child rights and effective ways to protect innocent children.
My vision is to transform this initiative into a fully functioning organization. With the right amount of help, aid, and support from like-minded individuals who share the urgency and passion for this cause, I am hopeful that God will open doors to make this dream a reality. It is only through collective effort and shared commitment that we can create a significant impact.
Currently, my job is in association with NRLM, where I have the privilege of working closely with women. In every opportunity I get, I make it a point to spread awareness in the community about the importance of protecting children’s well-being and safeguarding them from abuse. I believe that mothers, with their innate sense of love, compassion, and empathy, can be powerful agents of sensitization and change.
On the occasion of World Day Against Child Labour, I implore our community to recognize and respond to the suffering of innocent children around us. It is not enough to be passive observers, ignoring their plight; we must take active steps to improve their lives. Let us strive to create a society where children can grow up without fear, surrounded by love and support.
Let us act as loving neighbors and good Samaritans for children living in fear. Our collective efforts can make a difference, ensuring that every child enjoys the freedom, security, and happiness they deserve. Let’s unite in our efforts to protect and nurture the most vulnerable members of our society.
