The 12th Lumami Campus Sports Club (LCSC) Tournament concluded on 22nd November 2025 at Nagaland University, Lumami. Eight days of sports from 15 to 22 November 2025 brought together employees, staff, and players in a vibrant celebration of unity, talent, and collaboration.
Delivering the valedictory address, Chief Guest Dr. Harish Tiwari, Deputy Director of Sports, Nagaland University congratulated the LCSC Executive Committee for organizing such a well-structured and inspiring event. The chief guest noted that such initiatives should continue in the interest of promoting fitness and encouraged parents to motivate their children to participate in sports from a young age, which will help recognize a child’s potential and guide them towards the right path.
He also highlighted the significance of providing children with the necessary platforms and support to pursue their sporting ambitions and build successful careers in athletics. Extending his best wishes to the LCSC, he said that he is confident the club would continue to nurture this enthusiasm and carry forward its commitment to developing a strong sporting culture.
The welcome address was delivered by Dr. Sandeep Gupta, General Secretary, LCSC, extended heartfelt appreciation to Chief Guest Dr. Harish Tiwari, executives, players, and all members involved in organizing the week-long sports event, noting that the successful completion of the event was a result of collective effort who have contributed to turning the event into a meaningful and memorable achievement.
He further reflected on the purpose behind the formation of the body, recalling that it was established with the intention of bringing people from diverse backgrounds closer through sports.
The valedictory session was chaired by Dr. Rumi Dhar, Vice-President of LCSC. The session witnessed a special number by Miss Bethel, followed by a cultural extravaganza. The program also featured a prize distribution ceremony and lottery draw. In vote of thanks Mr. Peter Ki, President of LCSC, expressed gratitude to Vice-Chancellor of Nagaland University Prof. J.K. Patnaik who is the Chief Patron of LCSC, Registrar Dr. Abemo the Patron, donors such as Prof. Dipak Sinha, Pro Vice-Chancellor, Medziphema Campus, NU, Prof. Upasana Bora, Dept of Chemistry, NU, Ghoupu Kinimi, Hutton Kinimi, Photographer Kimbo, Reporter Ms Shiken, and others.
Mr. Hukheto and Ms. Himatoli were declared as Player of the Tournament in the Men and Women category respectively. Red house emerged as the Champion Team, and received a trophy from the Chief Guest. (Published as received)
