Mokokchung, 20 April (MTNews): The 14th Aries Shooting Championship 2023 in Rifle/Pistol (NR) events will be held at Aries Sports Complex Shooting Range, Bamunphukuri-I, Dimapur from 27 to 29 April as per rules and regulations under NRAI Match Book 2022 (amended). This championship will be conducted by Nagaland Rifle Association.
A press release from the Nagaland Rifle Association informed that shooters, who are below 21 years and 19 years of age as on 31 December, 2022 will be considered under the category of Juniors (2002 onwards) and Youth (2004 onwards) respectively for the Championship.
Shooters below the age of 12 years are not allowed to participate in fire arm matches during this championship. Shooters who have not received or applied for their Shooter ID number must immediately visit NRAI website www.thenrai.org to check status/apply for their Shooter ID number, the NRA informed.
The entries with normal fee will be accepted till 6:00 pm on 25 April. Late entries with triple entry fee will be accepted till 6:00 pm on 26 April.
“All participants are expected to abide by the rules and regulations for the competitions. Discipline on and off the field is very essential. Shooting practices in hotels are strictly prohibited,” it informed. Further, the NRA said that shooting kit (clothing & equipment) of the competitors during the competition will be strictly according to ISSF Rules.
