Fifteen cadres from the Eastern Naga National Government (ENNG) surrendered today with huge cache of arms and ammunition in front of Chief Minister Pema Khandu, civil administration, Assam Rifles and top police officials at a ‘homecoming ceremony’ held in Itanagar today.

These 15 members include Sh Tosham Mossang, the chief and president, who founded the group in 2015. This surrender of cadres brings the closure of the ENNG group in the region after being active for 8 years.

The purported aim of the organisation was to fight for the demands of Myanmar Nagas and the Nagas of Tirap, Changlang and Longding Districts in Arunachal Pradesh.

ENNG was active in the Longding and Changlang districts of Arunachal Pradesh. The surrendered cadres were assured all possible assistance by the government for their rehabilitation.
