In an effort to regulate pharmacies as per the Drugs & Cosmetic Act, 1940 & Rules 1945, a Joint Enforcement Drive comprising of the Niuland District Administration, Police Department and Chief Medical Office Dimapur led by Asst. Drugs Controller, Martemjen Longkumer, and DCO, Boto Sema carried out the inspection of pharmacies on July 1, 2025 in the district.
As per the order issued by the State Drugs Control Administration Kohima, 15 Pharmacist licences under Niuland district were cancelled due to non-compliance of show cause notice violating Rule 65(2) of D&C Rules 1945 and section 42 of the Pharmacy Act 1948.
