Mokokchung, September 20 (MTNews): The 15th Imchaba Master Memorial Nagaland Open Volleyball Trophy 2022 organized by the Mokokchung District Volleyball Association (MDVA) got underway at the Multi-Purpose Sports Complex, Mokokchung on Tuesday.
The inaugural patron, N. Jamonger Ao, Assistant Director, Food & Civil Supplies, Mokokchung, stated at a brief inaugural ceremony that events such as the Imchaba Master Memorial Nagaland Open Volleyball Trophy keep Mokokchung alive and active. He praised the MDVA for putting up such a significant trophy. He urged the players from the 18 competing teams to grab the opportunity, to shine and enjoy their time, and to be engaged in all aspects, whether social or sporting. He continued by noting that Mokokchung District is Nagaland’s volleyball manufacturer.
Earlier, Lakhi Longkumer, organising committee member, presented the welcome address, and the oath-taking ceremony was conducted by Imkongsanen, a player from the reigning champion Changtongya Volleyball Association.
