Mokokchung, 18 August (MTNews): The Nagaland Rifle Association (NRA) has selected 17 shooters from Nagaland to represent the state in the 10th North East Zone Shooting Championship 2023, in small bore rifle and pistol events to be held at ARC, Shillong, Meghalaya from 20 to 27 August 2023.
The shooters were selected as per the rules & regulations of National Rifle Association of India (NRAI) Match Book 2022, (amended), the NRA said.
Further, the NRA informed that the shooters are also permitted to carry their designated weapons and pellets with valid Arms License from Kohima/Dimapur/Mokokchung to Shillong, Meghalaya and back by air, train and road.
The Nagaland shooters will be led by Chizou Sorhienuo as team manager, M Tiatemjen Jamir as assistant team manager and Kimatsung Jamir as team coach.
