MH10 Kohima (Senior) and Peren District Volleyball Association on Thursday won the championship titles of men’s and women’s categories respectively of the 1st Nagaland State Open Volleyball Championship 2022 at Indira Gandhi Stadium, Kohima.
The championship was organized by Nagaland Volleyball Association (NVA) in collaboration with Youth Resources & Sports, Government of Nagaland.
The champion in men category- MH10 Kohima (Senior) awarded with a cash prize of Rs. 70,000 along with trophy and certificate. Runner-up Changtongya Volleyball Association was awarded Rs. 40,000.
Semifinalists Kohima District Volleyball Association (KDVA) and MH10 Kohima (Junior) were awarded Rs.15,000 each.
In the women’s category, champions Peren District Volleyball Association was awarded a cash prize of Rs. 70,000 along with trophy and certificate.
Runner-up Mystic pocketed a cash prize of Rs. 40,000. Semifinalists Elite Sisters Lazami and Phusachodu United were awarded with Rs. 15,000 each.
Anthony Ngully, Additional Secretary, Government of Nagaland graced the closing ceremony and gave away the prizes to the winners.
The closing function was chaired by NVA vice president Visasielie Suohu while vote of thanks was proposed by NVA general secretary Tiameren Aier.
