Mokokchung, 1 June (MTNews): The Department of Youth Resources and Sports is set to organize the 1st Open Women Football League Tournament from 26 June to 1 July 2023 at the Indira Gandhi Stadium Kohima. According to a DIPR report, there will be a maximum of 16 teams (sixteen). It was informed that the registration will be done on a first come first basis and that the players must be bonafide inhabitants of Nagaland.

 

A team may comprise not more than 18 players and 2 supporting staff of which 1 should be a female. It was also informed that match allowances will be disbursed at the rate of Rs 250 per participant.

 

Cash Awards:

· Winner – One lakh with certificates and trophy

· Runner-Up- Seventy thousand with certificates and trophy

· Semi-Finalists – Thirty thousand each with certificates

 

Apart from team awards, exceptional players will be awarded individual awards and certificates, viz.:

· Player of the Tournament

· Highest Scorer

· Best Goalkeeper

· Most Promising Player

 

 

Teams have been asked to make their logistic arrangements. No TA/DA will be paid except for the match allowances as mentioned above, it was informed.

 

Interested teams/clubs can download the forms and bye-laws by visiting the Department’s website, dyrs.nagaland.gov.in, and submit it on or before 20 June 2023 at the Directorate Office, Sports Section during office hours.
