Additional Deputy Commissioner, Dimapur, Mhalo Humtsoe said one main reason behind not excelling in sport was the coming up of new technologies as children were all caught up with it that they do not want to go outdoor for physical activity; and another one is the mindset of the society including parents by encouraging children to go for white collared jobs.

She hoped that the championship would motivate the young people to take up sports and inspire them to self-discipline, build confidence and develop the personality to achieve their goals in life.
