Mokokchung, 11 August (MTNews): The 24 Angetyongpang NDPP Assembly Constituency’s door-to-door registration for the Chief Minister’s Health Insurance Scheme (CMHIS), launched on 28 November 2022, has successfully enrolled 2,406 beneficiaries. This was informed through an update received here.
According to the statement, on 10 August 10 2023, the constituency registered 162 individuals from Chakpa and Salulamang, including 98 from Salulamang, and 64 from Chakpa. This initiative was led by the 24 Angetyongpang AC NDPP and sponsored by Tongpang Ozukum, Advisor for Water Resources in the Nagaland Government.
Further, it was informed that under the 24 Angetyongpang AC, comprising 12 units, 20 operators from each unit were trained and deployed to ensure smooth registration.
For this, the Angetyongpang AC NDPP expressed gratitude to Tongpang Ozukum for his sponsorship and assistance and expressed deep gratitude to Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio for introducing “such a beneficial scheme for the people’s welfare” and said they anticipate continued cooperation for holistic societal development.
S Meren Jamir, Chairman of Salulamang, and Imkonglemba, Chairman of Chakpa, commended Tongpang Ozukum for sponsoring the scheme and encouraging access for the community’s benefit. They urged villagers to seize the opportunity to enroll in the scheme.
The party assured its dedicated efforts to ensure that every eligible beneficiary in Angetyongpang AC benefits from the scheme. They encouraged the constituency’s residents to register at the NDPP office or through their unit operators.
The CMHIS scheme encompasses treatment for 1,950 diseases at empanelled clinics and hospitals across the country. CMHIS, initiated by the Nagaland Government, provides free health insurance coverage of Rs 5 lakhs per family per year.
