Mokokchung, August 4 (MTNews):In a written response to a question in the Lok Sabha today, the Minister of State for Housing and Urban Affairs, Kaushal Kishore, stated that 72 projects and 24,578 houses are presently under construction in Nagaland as part of the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana-Urban (PMAY-U) – “Housing for All” mission.
The Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs has been carrying out the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana-Urban (PMAY-U) – “Housing for All” mission since June 2015 by providing central funding to States and Union Territories (UTs) for the construction of all-weather pucca houses for all eligible urban beneficiaries. During the mission period, which runs from 1 March 2022 to 31 March 2024, a total of 122.69 lakh dwellings have been sanctioned based on the project proposals submitted by States/UTs.
