DELAI FC, Asüfü Football Academy, and Asüfü Christian Institute all secured important victories in the ongoing 24th NSF Martyrs Memorial Trophy played here at IG Stadium Kohima on Tuesday.
The first match of the day featured DELAI FC, who emerged victorious with a 3-1 win over Japfu Christian College. DELAI FC controlled the game, showcasing their attacking and defensive strengths. Japfu Christian College managed to pull one back but couldn’t overcome DELAI FC’s dominance.
In the second match, Asüfü Football Academy comfortably defeated Kohima Sports Club 2-0. The match’s hero, P Sorormi Thinsang, found the net twice in quick succession during the first half, scoring in the 24th and 35th minutes. His excellent performance put the game out of Kohima Sports Club’s reach, as Asüfü Football Academy’s defense remained impenetrable.
The final match saw Asüfü Christian Institute beat Kohima Village Youth Organisation 2-0, with Ngararsing Railchan securing both goals for his team. Despite Kohima Village’s efforts to break through, Asüfü Christian Institute maintained control of the match, with Railchan’s clinical finishing sealing the win.
