The Congress Bhavan for the Lijaba Lijen Unit under the 25 Mongoya Assembly Constituency Congress Committee (ACCC) was inaugurated today at the residence of Lanutemjen in Lijaba Lijen Ward, Mokokchung, by Alemkaba Jamir, president of the 25 Mongoya ACCC, who also hoisted the party flag.

Speaking at the event, Alemkaba stated that many organizations become irrelevant over time due to arrogance, adding that boastfulness leads to division and fragmentation among people. He said that a society cannot progress without shedding such arrogance and encouraged everyone to be respectful toward one another.
He further remarked that a political party can be strong only when its grassroots units are strong. He explained that strengthening the party at the unit level would subsequently fortify it at the assembly constituency, district, and state levels. As such, he urged party workers at the unit level to work harder.
Alemkaba also encouraged the gathering to envision the Congress party fielding a capable candidate from the 25 Mongoya Assembly Constituency in the 2028 state general election, with the goal of forming the Nagaland government. He urged everyone to work diligently toward realizing that vision.
He further remarked that the BJP is not compatible with the Naga people, stating that Congress is the only national party attuned to the Nagas, as it upholds secularism and democratic principles. He emphasized that the Naga people must recognize this distinction.
Acknowledging the hard work of the party at the unit level, Alemkaba claimed that the 25 Mongoya Assembly Constituency is the best-performing constituency in the district. He expressed hope that the party would grow stronger with the establishment of the Lijaba Lijen Unit Congress Bhavan.
Mokokchung District Congress Committee joint secretary Alemchiba also addressed the gathering. He noted that while the party currently lacks an elected representative in the state assembly, it does have a Member of Parliament in the Lok Sabha. He expressed confidence that with unity and collective effort, the party would return to power in the future.
Representatives from the District Congress Committee, Assembly Constituency Congress Committee, various units under the 25 Mongoya ACCC, and party workers from the Lijaba Lijen Unit attended the event.
