The 25th All India Police Band Competition, organized by the Assam Rifles Training Centre & School (ARTC&S), was held from November 16 to 21, 2024, at the Drill Ground, Shokhuvi, Dimapur. The event celebrated musical excellence and unity among 27 police bands from across India, each showcasing their state and territorial pride.

The competition concluded with Assam Rifles emerging as the overall winner in the men’s category and Rajasthan Police claiming the women’s category. In the Men’s Brass Band, Assam Rifles secured first place, followed by Maharashtra Police and CRPF. The Women’s Brass Band top spot went to SSB, with CISF as the runner-up. Assam Rifles also triumphed in the Men’s Pipe Band category, while Rajasthan Police led in the Women’s Pipe Band. Maharashtra Police’s Buglers claimed first place, followed by Assam Rifles and Andhra Pradesh.

Lt. Gen. Vikas Lakhera, AVSM, SM, Director General of Assam Rifles, graced the closing ceremony, alongside dignitaries such as Brigadier Raman Sharma, who highlighted police bands as symbols of honor and inspiration.
