26 Aonglenden AC: Watizulu Jamir resigns from NPF; Joins NDPP

Ungma, February 8 (MTNews): According to a press release from the NDPP media cell of 26 Aonglenden AC, Dr Watizulu Jamir, Vice President COB of the Naga People’s Front party, has pledged his support to NDPP candidate and NLA Speaker Sharingain Longkumer.

Calling it “a very positive turn of events” for Sharingain Longkumer, the release stated that the two are first cousins but could not be together on the political front for the last few years due to ‘different political views’.

However, according to the release, “in a very emotional meeting of the family members today (8-02-2023) at Ungma village, they agreed to work together for the forthcoming elections and beyond.”

 

Dr. Watizulu Jamir is a medical doctor by profession; a sports enthusiast who is currently the vice president of Badminton Association of India (BAI) and has been working with the youth for many years.
