The 2nd edition of the Chümoukedima District Inter-School Badminton Tournament began at Testo College on 4th July 2025.
In his welcome address, Seyietuo Yashü, President of the Chümoukedima District Badminton Association (CDBA), stated that the tournament is not only a platform to showcase sporting talent but also a place where discipline, dedication, and sportsmanship are fostered and celebrated. He expressed the belief that through sports, we build character, foster unity, and inspire healthy competition among youth. He urged the participants to play with patience and uphold the values of fairness and respect.
It may be mentioned that around 350 participants from 26 schools are competing in the two-day tournament under various categories.
Earlier, the program began with an invocation by Rev. Zhau Sanchü, CRC Sovima, while Imtilong Longkumer, Tournament Head Referee, conducted the tournament briefing and oath-taking ceremony.
The program was chaired by Chemdila Mongzar.
