Twin brothers from Mokokchung fell short against India’s top players
8-year-old twin brothers Moatangit and Lenjener Tzudir from Mokokchung represented Nagaland in the Revised Circular Yonex-Sunrise 2nd Mini (U-11) National Badminton Championships 2023, which began today at the Star Badminton Academy in Kolkata, West Bengal. The championship is scheduled to be played from 15-18 November 2023. It is organized by the West Bengal Badminton Association and sanctioned by the Badminton Association of India.
The duo, brimming with energy and determination, embarked on their journey to make a mark in the national badminton scene. Today, as per an update received here, the young athletes faced a challenging match, encountering India’s No. 2 and No. 6 ranked players in the tournament. Despite their valiant efforts, unfortunately, the brothers bowed out of the competition.
