Shillong, November 12 (MTNews): Tenloi Phom ended Nagaland’s gold drought in the 2nd North East Olympic Games held in Shillong as he concluded in the top position in Taekwondo discipline under 45 Kg junior boys category on Saturday.
In Junior boys under-48 Kg category, Hinglakpo won bronze medal while in junior girls under 49 category, Elizabeth Ezung also won bronze medal.
Keheihingbe Lungalong also bagged the bronze medal on Wushu (Men-64 Kg), Rakesh Kumar (Wushu Men- 70 Kg), Limasunep Imchen (Wushu Men- 60 Kg)
Nagaland has also earlier won a bronze medal in the Table Tennis Men’s Team League. Meanwhile, sources said that Nagaland progressed to semi finals of the U-21 men’s football defeating Sikkim by 4-0. They will play against Mizoram in the first semi-final match tomorrow.
Nagaland has also entered Quarterfinals on Lawn Tennis Men’s single, Semi-finals on Table Tennis (Men’s Double)
