For what can only be a major boost for the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), the party’s candidate for the 31 Akuluto Assembly constituency, Kazheto Kinimi is set to win the assembly elections unopposed after Congress candidate N Khekashe Sumi withdrew his candidature on Friday.

“Beyond humbled and honoured to represent the people of Akuluto 31 A/C for a second term, as unopposed. I praise Almighty God for this privilege and extend my gratitude to my supporters, well-wishers, the karyakartas of Akuluto BJP mandal and Nagaland state BJP,” Kinimi said in a tweet.
It may be mentioned that Kinimi was the Advisor to Civil Administration Works Division (CAWD) and Nagaland State Disaster Management Authority (NSDMA), Government of Nagaland in the 13th NLA.
