Kohima, September 21 (MTNews): A total of 38 trainees from the 3rd batch of Diploma in School Counseling have been conferred today.
Nagaland SCERT is the first in the country to introduce the course for Diploma in School Counseling, launched on 2nd April, 2018.
The certificates were handed by MLA & Advisor for School Education & SCERT, KT Sukhalu. He also administered the oath to the graduating counselors. Meanwhile, the 4th batch of the 9 month Diploma in School Counseling was also inducted.
Congratulating the graduates, Advisor Sukhalu said that students come from various social backgrounds without the same thinking process and, therefore, it is through the Counselors that can mainstream the students in the right line of thinking not only in heritage studies but overall development of a child.
A total of 57 candidates have already been conferred Diploma in School Counseling from the first and second batches. A total of 31 candidates were also inducted into the course as the 4th batch during the program.
