Mokokchung, March 8 (MTNews): Watsü Mungdang celebrated International Women’s Day with the theme “Beautiful Inside Out” with Shilula Imchen, Associate Pastor (W) MTBA as the speaker, who asserted that a woman and a man complement each other in life where one cannot be complete without each other. “God made us to be beautiful inside out” she added.
Taking on the example of Mary Wollstonecraft’s book‘A Vindication of the Rights of Woman,’ she highlighted on some of the weaknesses that woman assume. “Low self-esteem, negativity and jealousy from other woman are reasons why we think lowly of ourselves,” she said. She further urged the participants to think big and uplift each other.
Mapujungla Pongen, Advocate, while speaking on the significance of the day mentioned, “The rise of women is not the fall of man.” Earlier on in the program, a welcome address was delivered by S. Arenla Longkumer, President, Watsü Mungdang.
