3rd Nagaland Junior Athletics Championships held in Dimapur

Nagaland Athletics conducted the 3rd Nagaland Junior Athletics Championships 2026 at the Government Higher Secondary School Ground, Dimapur, with 209 young athletes competing in the Under-14, Under-16 and Under-18 age categories.

The championship provided a platform for emerging athletes from across Nagaland to compete and demonstrate their abilities. The results were as follows:

Under-14 Boys

Triathlon B: 1st, Mughakupu Yesca, 1,831 points; 2nd, Abishek Kuwar, 1,739 points; 3rd, Imli Tangit, 1,601 points.

Triathlon C: 1st, Boilim Hansing, 1,218 points; 2nd, Pikashe K. Aomi, 785 points; 3rd, Rongkhum S. Yimchunger, 685 points.

Under-14 Girls

Triathlon B: 1st, Lihike Yepthomi, 1,605 points; 2nd, Bemang W, 1,444 points; 3rd, A. Ake, 1,315 points.

Triathlon C: 1st, Kairuangwi Nring, 1,320 points; 2nd, Lovi H. Aye, 1,180 points; 3rd, Retsula, 1,113 points.

Under-16 Girls

60m: 1st, Achano Liegise, 8.91 sec; 2nd, Anon M. Konyak, 9.12 sec; 3rd, Temjensangla Jamir, 9.35 sec.

600m: 1st, Supei S., 2:02; 2nd, Bemang H., 2:11; 3rd, Temjensangla Longkumer, 2:35.

Long jump: 1st, Achano Liegise, 3.29m; 2nd, Dzevinuo Chase, 3.07m; 3rd, Konchum L. Phom, 3.02m.

Shot put: 1st, Anon M. Konyak, 7.22m; 2nd, Visino Shaya, 6.55m; 3rd, Seyiesinuo Theunuo, 5.50m.

Under-16 Boys

60m: 1st, Akash Gowalla, 7.51 sec; 2nd, Temjenyanger Imchen, 7.78 sec; 3rd, Satyam Kumar Jha, 8.15 sec.

600m: 1st, Thejahloulie Suohu, 1:44; 2nd, Akash Gowalla, 1:47; 3rd, Chuimithan Zimik, 1:48.

Long jump: 1st, John Thapa, 3.88m; 2nd, Ilopu Khujumi, 3.85m; 3rd, Keduolhouvi Pienyii, 3.84m.

Shot put: 1st, Viboto Wotsa, 10.23m; 2nd, Ito Rochill, 9.61m; 3rd, Zasivikho Rhutsu, 8.87m.

Under-18 Girls

100m: 1st, Neshe Maonyu Konyak, 14.03 sec; 2nd, Veingaihsangi, 16.72 sec; 3rd, Chemrila T. Sangtam, 18.31 sec.

200m: 1st, Kevisinuo Dzuvi, 32.16 sec; 2nd, Ruchiraa Mech, 45.22 sec; 3rd, Atsu Yiuliu, 48.15 sec.

Long jump: 1st, Apoang N. Apoang, 4.48m; 2nd, Kevisinuo Dzuvi, 3.93m; 3rd, Chemrila T. Sangtam, 3.76m.

Shot put: 1st, Apoang N., 7.40m; 2nd, Veingaihsangi, 6.94m; 3rd, Linovi Zhimomi, 6.15m.

Under-18 Boys

100m: 1st, Moalong Jamir, 12.16 sec; 2nd, Diezevi Meru, 12.35 sec; 3rd, Vika Aye, 12.36 sec.

200m: 1st, Tementong Longchar, 25.79 sec; 2nd, Diezevi Meru, 26.55 sec; 3rd, Yimsenwapang Kichu, 26.80 sec.

400m: 1st, Kakivi J. Wotsa, 1:03.06; 2nd, Talimeim Jamir, 1:03.88; 3rd, Neilaphrezo Usou, 1:06.91.

1000m: 1st, Talimeim Jamir, 2:57.49; 2nd, Lanurenba Longkumer, 3:03.47; 3rd, Temsumoa Jamir, 3:14.36.

Long jump: 1st, Temsumoa Jamir, 5.76m; 2nd, Mengukhriezo, 5.68m; 3rd, Alemwati Longchar, 5.66m.

Shot put: 1st, Kekhrieselhou Kerhu, 10.08m; 2nd, Vivotuo Chupuo, 9.79m; 3rd, Ayepu Ayemi, 9.70m.

Nagaland Athletics congratulated the winners and participants for their performances and thanked the officials, coaches, schools, volunteers and supporters for contributing to the successful conduct of the championship.
