A 4-day training on Management of COVID-19 in Children for SMOs, MOs & Health Workers began at Conference Hall, Office of the Chief Medical Officer, Mokokchung. The training is being conducted from the 24th of May 2022 – 27th of May 2022.
Chief Medical Officer, Mokokchung in the keynote address highlighted the main objectives of the training and acknowledged the continuous support rendered by Doctors and Staffs of the Department from the onset of the pandemic. The trainees were urged to impart the knowledge acquired from the training to the rest of the Staffs in their own facilities.
The participants are being trained on the modes of transmission, identifying danger signs in children, classification of severity of illness, management of children with severe COVID-19, testing for COVID-19 in children, understanding the types of testing done for COVID-19 and preventive measure.
The trainers for the training were, Dr. Imlisenba Lemtur, Pediatrician, IMDH and Dr. H. Tsipongchem, Pathologist, IMDH, Mokokchung.
