Kohima, 30 June (MTNews): An official induction program took place at the NHAK Auditorium on 30 June where 40 nurses were inducted to serve at the 10 Bed ICU. Commissioner & Secretary of the Health and Family Welfare (H&FW) Department, Y Kikheto Sema IAS, graced the event as the Special Guest.

During his address at the induction ceremony, Sema expressed his joy and gratitude to the 10 Bed ICU e-Gov for funding the remuneration of the 40 nurses for the initial three years. He acknowledged the nurses’ fortune to work with state-of-the-art ICU equipment and wished them success in their endeavors. He emphasized the State Government’s commitment, particularly Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio and Health and Family Welfare Minister P Paiwang Konyak, to provide affordable and accessible healthcare to all citizens. He also commended the 10-bed ICU hubs for their exceptional equipment quality and comprehensive services, considering them as valuable assets for the people of Nagaland.

 

The 10 Bed ICU was officially launched on 6 January 2023 by Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio. Its primary objective is to facilitate critical patients in remote and challenging areas by enabling them to access the expertise of specialist doctors through Tele-ICU services.
