Tseminyu, 6 July (MTNews): The Nagaland Education Project-The Lighthouse (NECTAR) has taken a significant step towards improving the monitoring of teachers’ attendance in government schools across the state. In a recent tweet, NECTAR announced the successful verification and authentication of data for the Teachers Attendance Monitoring System (TAMS) in Tseminyu District on 5 and 6 July.
During the verification process in Tseminyu District, a total of 477 teachers and employees had their data verified and authenticated. This important step paves the way for the successful implementation of TAMS in the district, contributing to enhanced transparency and effective management of teacher attendance.
NECTAR’s tweet further highlighted that the Teachers Attendance Monitoring System is expected to go live in September 2023, marking a significant milestone in the state’s education sector. With the integration of facial recognition, location tracking, and time stamping, the system will enable real-time monitoring of teachers’ attendance, ensuring their regular presence in the classrooms.
