The 4th Edition of the Nagaland Guitar Festival 2025 began today at Urban Haat, Dimapur, marking the start of a two-day event dedicated to music, creativity, and guitar culture. The festival is supported by TaFMA and organized by The Quantum Production and Mokokchung Events Management, with Blue Table Production and Dimapur Institute of Music as event partners.

The annual festival has brought together guitarists, young learners, and music enthusiasts from across the state.
The festival was inaugurated in the presence of guests, participants, and organizing representatives. During his speech, Special Guest Toshi Aier, Proprietor of Aier Real Estate, Dimapur, addressed the gathering and highlighted the role of the guitar as a powerful medium of artistic expression and community connection. “Guitar is not only just an instrument but it is a storyteller, a healer, and a connector. It’s a voice of protest and a soul of celebration. Guitar has the power to move us, unite us, and inspire us. I believe this festival was born from a desire to celebrate every facet of this incredible instrument,” he said.
The festival includes masterclass sessions by renowned guitarists from Aizawl and Kohima, guest performances, and solo and band performances, offering participants an engaging environment for learning and artistic exchange.
The festival continues tomorrow with advanced masterclasses, a guitar contest, and stage performances. Theja Meru, Chairman of TaFMA, along with Project Director Dr Hovitol, will be present for the closing day to interact with participants and organizers. The event will conclude with live performances, followed by the announcement of the Junior and Senior Guitar Contest winners and the closing ceremony.
The Guitar Contest is sponsored by Musicians Corner, The Retro, Music People, and Sungjemish. Technical partners include Zip Sound, MJ Lighting, and Swift Pro Studio, while media partners are Providence Institute of Design and Media.
