Mokokchung, August 30 (MTNews): At least 5 badminton players from Mokokchung district have been mentioned in the list of probable players to represent Nagaland at the NE Zone Inter State Badminton Championship to be held at Agartala, Tripura from September 8-11, 2022.
The Nagaland Badminton Association stated that players have been selected as per recommendations of the technical committee on the basis of their performance during the Li-Ning 44th Nagaland Inter District & State Open Badminton Championship held at Longleng.
The Mokokchung players selected to represent the state at the regional championship includes Watisungla, Arenchila and Sunepbenla for the U-19 Girls category. Wapangmeren A Jamir and Limasunep Jamir have also been selected for the U-19 Boys category. No Mokokchung player was selected for the Men’s and Women’s categories.
