According to data available on the Nagaland Chief Minister’s online dashboard, Mokokchung has a cumulative total of 51,354 vehicles registered as of February 2022. A cumulative total of 632 commercial vehicle permits has also been issued in Mokokchung as of February 2022. The cumulative revenue generated in the form of Motor Vehicle Tax in Mokokchung as of February 2022 is Rs. 95.85 crores.
Meanwhile, the cumulative total number of vehicles registered in Nagaland as of February 2022 is 3,78,522 while the cumulative total of commercial vehicle permits issued is 55,172 as of February 2022. Likewise, the cumulative revenue generated in the form of Motor Vehicle Tax in Nagaland as of February 2022 is Rs. 772.08 crores.
Kohima has the highest number of vehicles registered followed by Dimapur at 1,55,938 and 1,09,743 vehicles respectively. The rest of Nagaland has a cumulative total of 61,487 vehicles registered.
In Mokokchung, as of March 2021, there were a cumulative total of 50,666 registered vehicles which increased to 51,133 vehicles in December, 2021. In January of 2022, another 112 more vehicles were added to take the tally to 51,245 vehicles.
Of the cumulative total of 55,172 commercial vehicle permits issued in Nagaland as of February 2022, 48,363 were issued in Kohima, another 5,400 were issued in Dimapur, and 632 in Mokokchung while the rest of Nagaland had issued 777 commercial vehicle permits.
