Wokha, January 11 (MTNews): The 52nd Lotha Students’ Union (LSU) Conference commenced at Liphanyan Village, Wokha today under the theme ‘People of the land must become the brand’ where around one thousand students turned out from all the affiliated units of LSU for the three-day event.
K Renphamo Lotha, District Agriculture Officer, Mon graced the inaugural day as the special guest. He shared about his experience he had over the past few decades and also shared why we have a purpose to fulfill in our lives.
“We are not sent here to starve or be a slave to others but we are sent here to identify ourselves and what purpose we need to fulfill and if we don’t fulfill our purpose we become a liability in society,” he said.
He also stated why education is very important and quoted that “Education is the Bedrock of development” and encouraged the youths to be patient, set a goal, and work hard so that success will follow.
He concluded by advising the youths to be more independent and not to be too dependent on their parents.
He also called to remain healthy and careful and stay away from intoxication stating that “health is wealth.”
Meanwhile, he also informed the leaders of Lothas students to bring reformation and be adaptive to the changing generation and classify the sense of leadership in leading the younger generation.
