Peren, 11 December (MTNews): The 6th edition of the Peren Winter Carnival Cum Orchid Festival, which began on 6 December 2023 at Carnival Village, Tepuiki River site, culminated on 10 December with Deputy Commissioner Vineet Kumar, IAS, as the special guest.
In his brief speech, Vineet Kumar lauded the organizing committee, Progressive Peren, and the team for organizing the events grandly. He shared his experiences and thoughts gained from the program. The Deputy Commissioner also spoke on the importance of sustainability and encouraged Progressive Peren, the organizer of the program, to continue setting goals and making it more grandeur in the days to come to turn the potential into reality. Kumar urged the people present to work harder to make the town a potential town. As the festive season begins, Vineet Kumar called on the gathering to share happiness and joy.
Various competitions witnessed in the program included catapult shooting, pork fat eating, Tug of War, and the volleyball final match. The culmination program was hosted and chaired by the President of PTWCU, Gaigwang Hegeu, and Assistant Professor at Peren Govt. College, Paukizone Meriam. The President of PTYO and convenor of the Organizing Committee, Ngautube Chamlak, and the Secretary of the Organizing Committee, Lungrahei Herie, delivered the keynote address and the vote of thanks, respectively.
