Mokokchung, November 27 (MTNews): On the occasion of 75th Raising Day of National Cadet Corps (NCC) and coinciding with Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, the 25 Naga Bn NCC, Mokokchung organised a colourful event at their office today. The cadets of Senior Division, Senior Wing, Junior Division and Junior Wing of NCC were from Fazl Ali College and Dilong High School, Mokokchung.
“The event started with the NCC group song which was sung by all attendees with patriotic fervour,” an update said. During his address, Col CST Swamy, Commanding Officer, explained the genesis of NCC which is the largest uniformed youth organization in the world. “The commendable achievements of NCC in war as well as peacetime as a volunteer youth organization were highlighted by the officer,” the update also said.
During the event, the cadets were informed of the various employment opportunities that are available for NCC ‘C’ Certificate holders especially in the Indian Armed Forces, Paramilitary and CAPF including the latest ‘Agnipath’ scheme and the Combined Defence Services Exam.
The cadets expressed their gratitude to the PI Staff for imparting specialised training including Rifle Shooting, Map Reading and Field Craft. They were also quite enthusiastic about attending the upcoming Combined Annual Training Camp (CATC -109) scheduled to be held from December 15 to 22, 2022 in Fazl Ali College, Mokokchung.
The function concluded with refreshments and the National Anthem.
