The 8th edition of the Inter School Football Tournament, a biannual tournament organized by the Medziphema Town Students’ Union, began at the Local Ground in Medziphema on 23rd September. Under the theme “Unity Makes Victory,” ten teams are vying for the coveted trophy. The tournament is played in two categories: High School and Higher Secondary.
In the first match, the defending champion, Govt. Hr. Sec. School, decimated Rivenburgh School with a score of 7-0. Hengtinthang, Lhousakhoto, Letboison (3 goals), Kevineito, and Suresh scored for GHSS.
In the second match, SFS High School defeated Chakhroma Baptist Mission School with a score of 3-0. Kikruneilie Kera (2 goals) and Paogouhao scored for SFS School.
Earlier, Selemla S Sangtam, SDO Medziphema, graced the opening as the special guest.
