Mokokchung, 28 August (MTNews): Prime Minister Narendra Modi today distributed over 51000 appointment letters to newly inducted recruits via video conferencing. This was the eighth edition of the Rozgar Mela, which was held in 45 different places across the country.
Through this Rozgar Mela event, the Ministry of Home Affairs recruited personnel in various central armed police forces, Narcotics Control Bureau as well as in Delhi Police.
Joining the rest of the country, the 8th Tranche of Rozgar Mela in Nagaland was held today at Assam Rifles Training Centre and School, Shokhuvi, where Union Minister of State for External Affairs and Education, Dr Rajkumar Ranjan Singh handed over appointment letters to 25 newly inducted recruits.
A total of 134 individuals have been selected from Nagaland under the Rozgar Mela scheme this month, of which 84 candidates will join the Assam Rifles, 24 in CRPF, 21 in BSF, five for SSB and two for ITBP. Addressing the event, Singh said Rozgar mela is a unique concept which is an attempt to institutionalize governments recruitment process with focus on transparency.
