The 9th edition of the Kohima District Shooting Competition 2026 will be held on May 2 at Kire Farm (Chiin-Ca).
The event will be held under the aegis of the Kohima District Shooting Association and conducted by the Kohima District Rifle Association.
The competition will feature the following events: 10m Air Rifle (Men and Women, Junior/Senior), 10m Pistol (Men and Women, Junior/Senior), 50m .22 Rifle Open Sight (Open), and 40m (.177 caliber) Bench Rest (Open).
The entry fee for 10m Air Rifle and 10m Pistol categories has been fixed at Rs. 500.
The entry fee for the 50m .22 Rifle Open Sight category is Rs. 1,000, while the 40m (.177 caliber) Bench Rest category will carry an entry fee of Rs. 2,000.
Collection and submission of entry forms can be done both online and offline.
Offline forms will be available at Sports World, Kohima Town; Pfonuo Shop, DBS Junction, Kohima Village; and Kitsu Pan Shop, D. Khel, Kohima.
The last date for submission of entry forms along with the entry fee is April 30 before 4:00 PM.
For the 10m competitions, there will be two categories: Junior (15 years and below) and Senior (above 15 years).
Shooters selected in this competition will represent the Kohima district team at the upcoming State Inter-District Shooting Championship to be held in June 2026 at Aries Sports Complex, Dimapur.
