Mokokchung, September 2 (MTNews): The mainstreaming of 2290 educationally and professionally qualified teachers as per NCTE norms who were appointed under the former Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan (SSA) and Rashtriya Madhyamik Shiksha Abhiyan (RMSA) of the 2010 and 2013 batches into the State Education Cadre has been approved by the governor of Nagaland. The mainstreaming will be with effect from April 21, 2022 the date of Cabinet approval.
While notifying this, the Commissioner and Secretary to the Government of Nagaland, Kevileno Angami has in a notification dated September 2 informed, “The state has approved that the names in the annexure should be distributed randomly and according to districts rather than by seniority or merit.”
The notification also stated that the seniority of the 2010 SSA Batch andthe 2013 SSA & RMSA Batches will be “immediately below that of the teachers who have already been appointed on a regular basis or whose service has been regularized.”
“The inter-se seniority amongst the 2010 SSA Batch and the 2013 SSA & RMSA batches of mainstreamed teachers will be as per P&AR’s clearance vide U.O. No. 307 dated 15.09.2020,” the notification further said.
It was also stated that the terms and conditions of their service will be determined as per Article 309 of the Constitution of India.
The mainstreaming of the 2010 & 2013 batches of Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan (SSA) and Rashtriya Madhyamik Shiksha Abhiyan (RMSA) teachers was earlier approved by the State Cabinet, at its meeting on April 21.
