Dimapur. September 6 (MTNews): Livingstone Foundation International Dimapur celebrated Teachers’ Day and also held its multi-talent annual program entitled ‘LFI Got Talent’ in a unique display of honour, colour, and vibrancy of diverse cultures on the 5th of September 2022.

 

The event was made more colorful with the observance of the International Day of the World’s Indigenous People where the four houses, Matthew, Mark, Luke and John displayed miniature tableaus depicting the diverse life and culture of the Maoris of New Zealand, Massais of Africa, Ainus of Japan and Samoas of Polynesia.

 

During the occasion, students of various grades showcased their unique talents including dance, singing, speech, poetry recitation, display of martial arts, instrumentals and many more.
Along with other distinguished invitees, parents and guardians, Chairman of LFI, Dr. Andrew Ahoto Sema and Director LFI, Ani Yepthomi, were also present. The event was also attended by renowned musician, Alobo Naga who is also a visiting mentor of Music at LFI.

 

The esteemed panel of judges on the occasion included LFI Skills Mentors: Lironi Kithan, Music Mentor; Tiayanger Imsong, Martial Art Mentor; Imlimongba, Art & Calligraphy Mentor; and Mr. Talitemjen, Zumba Mentor.

 

The 1st Prize was clinched by Mr. Imnatoshi Longkumer of Grade-XI (Arts) for his stunning display of Taekwondo Steps while the 2nd Prize was won by Ms. Karma Chozom of Grade-IX for her Mash-up Dance item. Mr. Sentilong Lemtur of Grade-XI (Arts) bagged the 3rd Prize for his melodious rendition of ‘River Flows in You’.

 

Three consolation prizes were also presented to Jiya Bhagat & Monika Kumari of Grade-X for their Duet Dance performance, Parinaya Sharma for her Hindi Dance and Aman Dey of Grade-VIII for his ‘De Tali’ performance.

 

The Chairman and Director concluded the eventful program by felicitating the mentors, special invitees, and winners of the LFI Got Talent Show. During the event, a few mentors and school staff members who have completed significant 10 to 20 years of service were also specially felicitated.
