Mokokchung, September 24 (MTNews): A mega camp was held at Town Hall Mokokchung for the farmers of Ongpangkong North, Ongpangkong South, and Kobulong blocks villages under the ‘Nagaland-special credit outreach program’ (PM – Kishan Saman Nidhi) on Saturday.
During a short speech, Hatneikim Gangte Imsong, Chief Manager (LDM), SBI, LBO office, Mokokchung, stated that previously, when availing the KCC (Kisan Credit Card) loan, the loanee had to sort for a government employee as a guarantor. She said that this has now been simplified by choosing the concerned village council to be the guarantors. Further, she stated that the KCC system has been modified to include fishery and animal husbandry producers.
The Chief Manager went on to say that if the loanees are able to repay their loans within the given time frame, the banks are always ready to provide more loans.
T. Mayang, District Agri Officer, Mokokchung and Dr. BM Sunep, Chief Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Officer, Mokokchung, also delivered short speeches while Adeli Krieho chaired the event.
