Mokokchung, September 24 (MTNews): H. Tovihoto Ayemi, MLA and Advisor, Power Department, Government of Nagaland, while addressing a public gathering at the inauguration of colony gate and thanksgiving program of NST Colony held on Saturday morning said that “all 60 legislators of Nagaland Legislative Assembly, irrespective of political party are committed for an early solution to the long-standing Naga political issue” and called it the dream and aspiration of every Naga.
He said that entire Naga population is anxiously waiting for the negotiating parties to expedite the process to pen the final settlement and claimed that the BJP Nagaland party is similarly devoted to ensuring that the Naga people’s aspirations are fulfilled and fully supports a solution that is honorable and acceptable to the Naga people and will usher in a new era of peace and harmony, overall progress, and economic growth.
According to him, a progressive society exists only where there is unity and cooperation among the people with everyone contributing for its welfare. He also encouraged the public to have a holistic and cohesive approach when it comes to peace and harmony and welfare of the society.
“Community engagement plays a crucial role in transforming communities and in the overall development of the society,” he maintained.
The advisor also stated that the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) government in the state is “sincerely working” for development of all regions of the state and that the government under the leadership of Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio is making all efforts to bring more and more developmental activities in the state.
He also mentioned that Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s concern for Nagaland state along with the rest of the country is “praiseworthy”.
“It is because of the relentless support of the central government, a number of schemes and programs have reached every household and thus improving the lives of the common mass,” he added.
