Mokokchung, September 30 (MTNews): Along with other districts, the closing program of the Rashtriya Poshan Maah 2022 was held at Sangtemla Ward Multi-purpose Hall, Mokokchung on September 30.
Team Poshan during a presentation on Poshan Maah 2022 shared that the Poshan Maah celebration started on 1st September 2022 under the theme, Mahila and Swasthya (Women & Health), Bacha, and Shiksha-Poshan, Bhi Padhai Bhi, Gender Sensitive Water Conservation & Management and Traditional Foods for Women and Children in Tribal Areas.
Deputy Commissioner Mokokchung, Shashank Pratap Singh IAS while delivering a short speech at the closing program said that India being a democratic country, its constitution provides equal rights to every citizen but as a welfare state, it has recognized the need to provide special attention to those vulnerable sections of the society which include children and women with flagship programs like Poshan Abhiyaan.
He also appreciated the efforts put up by the officials and workers of the Department to successfully carry out all the activities the whole year round and intensively during the Poshan Maah celebration.
Meyalemla CDPO chaired and delivered the welcome address while a vote of thanks was proposed by Talisangla Nokdir, District Programme Officer.
