Mokokchung, November 8 (MTNews): The Ao Senden and various leaders of the NSCN (IM) have conveyed condolences to the bereaved family members of Late L. Chuba Pongen and Late Imtiramok Jamir, both of whom passed away on Tuesday in Dimapur. The former was a Member of Collective Leadership and Co-convenor of Steering Committee, NSCN (IM) hailing from Moayimti village while the latter was an Executive Member of Steering Committee, NSCN (IM) hailing from Mongsenyimti village.
“With deep regret and remorse, the Ao Senden hereby condole the sad demise of two Naga patriots and political leaders,” Ao Senden said in a condolence message. “They both have disposed their best with all their abilities in the Naga freedom movement till their last breath which the Naga people will ever cherish and will everbe engraved in the history of Naga freedom movement,” it added.
“The Ao Senden extends our heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families and prays to God to give solace to the family members in this time of mourning. We salute and pay our humble respects to the departed souls and pray that their souls be rest in eternal peace,” it further added.
Meanwhile, the Steering Secretariat of NSCN (IM) has also condoled the demise of the two leaders. KK Angami, Caretaker/Convener of the Steering Committee said in a condolence message that the NSCN (IM) is shocked and grieved by the infelicitous demise L ChubaPongen due to stroke. “He joined the National Service in the year 1998. It is a profound loss not only for his family but also for NSCN in general. He was a stalwart national worker who never failed in his assigned duties,” the message read.
It also mourned the sudden demise of Ramok Jamir who breathed his last at Zion Hospital, Dimapur after a prolonged illness. “He joined the National Service in the year 1999. The Naga Nation has lost a faithful National worker and a great leader, leaving a vacuum in the National service that will not be easy to fill,” a condolence message from the Steering Secretariat read.
Tongmeth Wangnao, Vice Chairman, NSCN (IM) and Th. Muivah, Ato Kilonser, NSCN/GPRN has also conveyed their condolences to the family members of the departed leaders in separate condolence messages.
