Mokokchung, November 21 (MTNews): Along with the rest of the country, CHILDLINE 1098 Mokokchung celebrated, ‘Childline Se Dosti Week’ from November 14 to 20 with the directive of the Childline India Foundation (CIF) by organizing different marking the celebration.

‘CHILDLINE Se Dosti’ is a weeklong national campaign that aims to make citizens stakeholders in CHILDLINE 1098. The campaign involve a range of events and activities across the country for spreading awareness on CHILDLINE 1098 emergency phone helpline number for children in need of care and protection.
CHILDLINE 1098 Mokokchung visited Unger Village under Mokokchung District and sensitized the parents and provided stationeries to about 50 children.
It also conducted a signature campaign which was launched by the Deputy Commissioner and Chairman, Childline Advisory Board, Shashant Pratap Singh, during a meeting of the administrative officers. Every signatory pledged to help any children in distress and in need of care and protection. More than 200 people participated in the signature campaign.
CHILDLINE 1098 Mokokchung visited Lenjem Hospital and Woodland Nursing Home Mokokchung and handed over a frame with Childline logo to both the hospitals as mode of its awareness campaign.
It also created a child friendly room at Police Station-II, Marepkong Ward, Mokokchung in collaboration with District Child Protection Unit (DCPU), for which Childline acknowledged Superintendent of Police, Aotula T Imchen, for allotting the room.
