The 4th Nagaland Hornbill Angling Festival organized by the Department of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources Govt. of Nagaland in collaboration with Anglers Association Nagaland will be held on December 6 and 7. The angling festival will be hosted by Anglers Association Mokokchung (AAM) at Star Fisheries in Japu village, Mokokchung.
Star Fisheries at Longmikaba Sector (near Longnak), Mangkolemba sub-division, Mokokchung is not only ideally located for easy access by both train and by road but the venue also has both AC and non AC rooms, the organizers said. The rooms, according to AAM, can be booked as per one’s requirements or one can choose to pitch their tents in the venue.
The winner of the competition during the angling festival will walk away with a cash prize of Rs. 1 Lakh along with trophy and citation while the second and the third place winners will be awarded Rs. 50,000 and Rs. 30,000 respectively.
Along with the mega angling event, it was announced that there will be a bonfire, live music, food stalls, games and many exciting and interesting activities to follow.
