Doulo thanked the pioneers for shouldering and nurturing the Youth Society this far. He began his speech with an interrogation “Who are Thetsumi?”

“Youth can become superheroes and future legends through sports. One should target and strive to become the best sportsmen,” said Doulo. “Chekrovolu Swuro participated in the Olympic and likewise the youth of Thetsumi should aim to participate in the Olympic and World Cup. If we aim big, we can achieve big so also if we aim small, we will reach small, so we should be broadminded,” he said.

“Thetsumi since time immemorial are known for toughness and competitive spirit flows in the blood of the people, yet the overwhelming love for one another never ends,” he said.

Stressing on the importance of peace and unity, Doulo said, “Today, Thetsumi had initiated a new beginning, on 3rd of October, 2022 through the initiative of the Village council organised One Day seminar and in the seminar, the villagers resolved to forget and forgive the past wrongdoings and strive for oneness through peace and unity. Thetsumi should build our village through unity. Let us respect and uphold the said resolution.”

In the past, Thetsumi had produced the first MLA in the area and had produced many pioneers in different fields and people respected and regarded the firmness and toughness of Thetsumi, so now it depends on the youth how we want people to regard and respect us.

“As it is beautifully written in our theme “Unity through sports”, let sports unite us and bring peace and strengthen our friendship,” he said. He also emphasised on the importance of patriotism and said, “Patriotism begins from one’s family, there we should love our family, village, tribe and Nagas.”

The program was chaired by Eno. Khelo Lasuh, Convenor Planning Committee. Eno Neivezolo Doulo, Chairman, Thetsu Youth Society welcomed the gathering. Eno.
